With "Odyssée 14", Rêve d’Eléphant Orchestra revisits music and texts from the 14th century to the present day in the spirit of "nothing is lost nothing is created, everything is transformed" by Antoine Lavoisier. Jazz-dance-reading-singing are part of the color scheme of this show, freely inspired by authors and composers such as Jacopo da Bologna, Stravinsky, Messiaen, Marais, Shakespeare, Faulkner, Rimbaud, Picasso, Kerouac, Montaigne, Burroughs ...
Just as in previous albums where the group has been nourished by multiple influences to create its own compositions and arrangements, it is again question of absorption and impregnation resulting in the creation of a clean and current repertoire. The idea is obviously not to offer a history lesson in music or literature, but rather a great musical, visual and poetic journey where the spectator is invited to lose his historical, musical, in a new timeless jungle of an imaginary continent.
For this formula, Rêve d’Eléphant invites two other artists of the Collective : David Hernandez (singer-dancer) and Thierry Devillers (comedian-singer).
