He likes neither labels nor chapels, he defends a spontaneous approach to music, based on rigorous writing mixed with a tendency to improvise. Just as Kipling’s hero from The Jungle Book discovers a life on the fringes of human society and flourishes among new companions, the French trio Mowgli ventures where you might not expect. Their new album is a reminder that electro-jazz is a playground that still thrives. Infectious and catchy riffs mix with experimental themes, asymmetrical yet danceable grooves.
