Mapping Roots

The band Mapping Roots will present the repertoire of their latest album ‘First Daylight’, released in 2022 by Unit Records. The songs you will hear are original compositions by Brussels bassist Michel Vrydag. This repertoire brings together all sorts of influences : a jazz universe and rhythms inspired by traditional music from several continents. He is joined by Antwerp pianist Bram Weijters and Dutch drummer Daniel Jonkers to play this music and try to answer the following question : ‘Play me a song that tells me about the place you come from’.
