Terpsichore

Concert organized by Les Lundis d’Hortense

Geoffrey Fiorese - piano / Sylvain Debaisieux - tenor saxophone / Jordi Cassagne - double bass / Théo Lanau - drums

Originally formed in homage to Keith Jarrett’s American 4tet, Geoffrey Fiorese’s quartet gradually took on an increasingly personal turn by creating an original repertoire, built around Greek mythology, and more particularly the history of ’Terpsichore’, the muse of dance. This project invites you to experience music, to feel it to the depths of your being, like an imaginary dance. Between long meditative musical poems and improvised flights flirting with free, this project goes beyond the borders of jazz and thus takes the listener to unknown territories where listening results in forgetting oneself.
