SAINT JAZZ : Irene Reig & Kika Sprangers « Alto for Two »

Alto For Two is the new project from the quintet led by both alto saxophonists Kika Sprangers and Irene Reig, two outstanding young musicians on the emerging jazz scene. Both draw from the jazz tradition and create a particular, distinctive and contemporary sound. They have developed a fresh, unique sound where they differ from each other, as well as finding their musical overlaps. The coming together of these two artists, with their unique musical backgrounds, results in a challenging, eclectic and distinctive musical offering with a varied sound palette translated into the quintet format with Xavi Torres (piano), Thomas Pol (bass) and Sun-Mi Hong (drums).
