Romain Pilon · guitar / Jeff Denson · double bass / Fred Pasqua · drums
Both renowned instrumentalists, Jeff Denson and Romain Pilon met 20 years ago at Berklee College Of Music. At the time, they chained jam sessions, having a common taste for adventure and the love of jazz without preconceived ideas. Since then, they have each on their side of the Atlantic led brilliant careers by recording numerous records with some of the greatest jazz musicians in the world: Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Ben Wendel, Mike Stern, Jeff Ballard, Brian Blade… After a remarkable first album composed together and about thirty concerts in the USA, they come to present their new opus, ‘Finding Light’. The trio is completed on drums by the fantastic Fred Pasqua. Originally from Marseille, a real stylistic touch, we could hear him alongside Nelson Veras, Walter Smith, Logan Richardson, etc. The music of this trio, interactive and generous, reflects the pleasure these musicians have in playing together. You will find influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Wayne Shorter, via Miles Davis, Hendrix or Satie... An evening not to be missed!
