Pirly Zurstrassen & Brussels Vocal Project

The composer and pianist Pirly Zurstrassen is a great devotee of meditation. Convinced of the connection between music and meditation and the therapeutic virtues of these two disciplines, he naturally directs his writing towards mindfulness. He chooses the voices of the Brussels Vocal Project as accomplices of this inner journey. Pirly’s playing, minimalist and subtle at the same time, allows these deep and moving voices to express sometimes lyrical and sometimes repetitive melodies on evocative and poetic texts. The improvisations inspired by the pianist come here and there to add touches of color to these paintings inviting you to fully live the present moment. Clear, spontaneous and moving music.
