Cancelled - Natasha Van Eerdewegh "Luna Moan" - EP release "La Piccola Scimmia"

"Young Talents"

Natasha Van Eerdewegh - piano, compositions / Bastien Jeunieaux - guitar / Laurent Barbier - alto saxophone / Dario Piccioni - double bass / Arnaud Cabay - drums

Born on the Brussels jazz scene, inspired by a common aesthetic, the pianist’s quintet revolves around his original compositions whose sound space accommodates the creativity and expressiveness of each musician. In a neo-hardbop line, Luna Moan highlights improvisation and pays particular attention to listening and interaction between musicians. In his universe, we perceive the influences of composers like Wayne Shorter, Tommy Flanagan, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, or even Richie Beirach. They meet for the first time at the Jazz Station in December 2018 to record some songs written in Italy. The connection is immediate and a first EP "La Piccola Scimmia" is released, marking the beginning of a collaboration whose enthusiasm crosses borders.
