Postponed - Myriam Alter & Nicolas Thys Duo

CD release "It Takes Two"

Myriam Alter - piano / Nicolas Thys - double bass

A dialogue between double bass and piano. The opus "It Takes Two" is the seventh album of the Belgian pianist Myriam Alter. "Jazz without the rules of jazz" is a bit the pianist’s signature. She started playing the piano at the age of 8 and stopped at the age of 15. After opening a dance school, she takes up the piano again at the age of 36. At ease with her compositions and her instrument, she recorded her first album in 1994. Recently, she joined forces with double bassist Nicolas Thys to record this intimate project. The album, comprising 16 personal compositions, is signed to Enja Records, the Munich-based label known for its search for artists with their own language, often coming from improvised music, whether they are American, European or from elsewhere.
