It is with these words that Marc Copland, known for his duets with John Abercrombie and Gary Peacock, Dave Liebman, Ralph Towner or Greg Osby, describes the artistic collaboration with bassist Daniel Schläppi. Since their debut album ‘Essentials’ (released in 2012) the duo has been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. Since then, the two fantastic musicians have released three albums and played five tours in Europe and New York. The third disc ‘Alice’s Wonderland’ shows how the duo’s unique interaction has catapulted itself into even higher realms. Daniel and Marc create dancing dream music, full of lightness, inspiration of the moment and creative energy. Thanks to their exceptional instrumental abilities, they manage to play super communicative music that breathes. The concerts and albums of this duo are events of a particular kind.
