Leila Martial "BAA BOX" (FR)

"Baa Box" is a 3-headed animal, where each of its members builds their identity in an exceptional group synergy: Leïla Martial, singer with acrobatic and moving vocalizations, guitarist Pierre Tereygeol, inspired colorist and virtuoso, and Eric Perez, drummer and breathtaking vocal bassist.
Their first album "Baabel" published in 2016 was a kind of epic with rock and melodic accents and noisy contours.
With this new opus, they open a second way at the crossroads of possibilities. The exploration and disorientation of the pre-established forms and roles are always put forward, but to this is added a quest for simplicity, of purity that leads them to a kind of "sound humanism", a land original imaginary, where the body (the voice) would be the only source where to drink.
Always inspired by Pygmy, Inuit, Gypsy songs and all the techniques that push far the vocal possibilities, Leïla takes her two companions on more acoustic and cosmopolitan ways where daring, humor and authenticity are combined with the want for our greatest happiness.
