Le Grand Partir

Théo Lanau · drums / Sam Comerford · tenor sax, clarinet / Léo Rathier, Benjamin Sauzereau · guitar

Le Grand Partir is an alternative jazz band from Brussels and Lille. Assembled by drummer Théo Lanau, prolific and eclectic musician, the band ventures between the genres, inspired by different streams such as post rock, free improvisation and no wave. With Benjamin Sauzereau, Léo Rathier and Sam Comerford, Le Grand Partir performs instrumentals whose interpretation is different every time. Some kind of jazz influenced by Gastr del Sol, Alasnoaxis, the Lounge Lizards, Horse Lords or Earth, focusing more on ensemble textures and narration, rather than featured solos.
