Lara Humbert ‘I’m Not Done Cooking’

The octet’s music takes you on a psychedelic journey through jazz, occasionally borrowing from pop or chamber music. No boundaries limit their compositional approach - the aim is to avoid confinement to any one genre or emotion and instead capture the complexity of human feelings : joy, euphoria, pain, sadness... all within a single song. Here, Lara brings together nine instruments that fuel her creativity, building a repertoire that seeks balance between free improvisation and composed material, making each performance unique. This evening also marks the group’s debut EP release.
