KCB Big Band directed by John Ruocco - A Tribute to Peter Herbolzheimer

Each year, the jazz department of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (KCB) collaborates with saxophonist and conductor John Ruocco to lead a student big band. Thanks to the support of the Jazz Station, these young musicians have the opportunity to present their work in a unique concert dedicated to the music and arrangements of the renowned composer Peter Herbolzheimer (1935–2010), a pioneer of German jazz known for his iconic Rhythm Combination & Brass ensemble.

John Ruocco, a celebrated saxophonist who has performed alongside legends like Dizzy Gillespie and Toots Thielemans, will share his experience and musical legacy with the students in tribute to Herbolzheimer, with whom he recorded numerous albums. This is a must-see event for jazz lovers and the curious alike !
