A must-see on the national and international scene, over the years the Jazz Station Big Band has become an integral part of Brussels’ heritage, a truly mythical group of true, passionate professionals. Acclaimed by the press and recognized by its peers, several albums have been released on the Igloo and Hypnote Records labels, and soon on Step By Records. Supporting a monthly residency in a club (the Jazz Station) for almost twenty years has never been done before in Belgium. But that’s not all : numerous festivals and venues call on the big band, which provokes collaborations with exceptional guests. From Dinant to Dubai, they have crossed swords with a.o. Kenny Werner, Grégoire Maret, Jason Rebello, Emil Viklicky, David Linx,... It would even seem that the band, reaching artistic maturity, is only at the genesis of its history. Indeed, their sound is now immediately recognizable, due not only to the unique alchemy between musicians considered to be the crème de la crème of Europe, but also to their arrangers. Make no mistake : even if this big band gives the impression of Belgian-style lightness, sophistication and deep emotion are always inherent in their music. The relentless Jazz Station Big Band has not finished making a name for itself.
