Jazz Instituto Cervantes - Irene Reig Quartet

In recent years, the saxophonist has presented her original compositions on many prestigious stages and festivals. She has also shared the stage with renowned artists such as Maria Schneider, Perico Sambeat, Dick Oatts and John Swana, with whom she recorded her first album, ’Views’.

Following her album ’Decisió i Coratge’, Irene Reig now presents her latest quartet project. This more intimate format focuses on the lyrical side of her music, highlighting the voice and sound of her saxophones. Improvisation, always present, blends with newly-created melodies directly inspired by his most contemporary influences. This marks a step forward in the consolidation of his unique style.
