Igor Gehenot, originally from Liège, discovered the piano at the age of 6 and took up jazz at the age of 13. In 2009, he enrolled at the Brussels Conservatory where he notably received lessons from Eric Legnini. Today, with three albums to his credit, Igor has already many awards (jazz artist of the year by Wallonie-Bruxelles-Musiques, double nomination for the Octaves de la Musique in the category jazz). He has performed at many festivals prestigious (Jazz in Vienna, Gent Jazz Festival, EuroJazz Festival (Mexico City), Gaume Jazz Festival, EUJAZZ in Santiago (Chile), London Jazz Festival, Dinant Jazz Nights, ...)
To celebrate this new cultural year, Igor Gehenot invites you to share a musical moment in excellent company. On this occasion, he surrounds himself of the double bass player Sal La Rocca and his sidekick longtime, the very inventive, Antoine Pierre. The group will take us on the path of their desires, of their delicacies and their regained freedom. In all simplicity, mixing personal compositions and standards. A real gig. Hot. Sometimes intimate. And always comforting.
