Grand Ensemble Koa is a large formation with an atypical instrumentation and an explosive character. The ensemble is composed of 9 musicians, led by bassist and composer Alfred Vilayleck, who mix jazz and rock, pop and contemporary music, electric and acoustic music, improvisation and composition in their own style.
This jazz ensemble from Montpellier follows the tracks of Jack Kérouac, Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs. Driven by the vibrant literary and intellectual movement of the "Beat Generation", the 8 musicians set the lyrics of these non-conformist poets to music, carried by the luminous voice of Caroline Sentis.
