RVB Quartet

Rebekka Van Bockstal - guitar / Ambroos De Schepper - saxophone / Kobe Boon – double bass / Marius Roofer - drums

The quartet features Rebekka’s compositions, inspired by contemporary jazz names such as Gilad Hekselman, Mark Turner, and Wayne Shorter. Some people see jazz rock, others modern jazz or jazz improvisation. The result is above all four musicians who, together, try to surprise themselves and the audience. Since September 2016, Thibaut Talpe has been replaced by Kobe Boon on bass, allowing a new field of experimentation to the group. Their first album was released in January 2018 at Solidude Records.

The AwkWords

Federico Stocchi - double bass / Hendrik Lasure - piano / Paul Berne - drums

The AwkWords is a young trio based in Brussels inspired by the concepts of word games and tongue twisters. The challenge is to translate these linguistic processes into music and to develop a world where original compositions and interaction between musicians are the key words.
In 2017, the band won the first prize at JazzContest Mechelen.
