Ben Sluijs Quartet

For this new quartet, Ben Sluijs is surrounded by some of the best Belgian artists. Two particularly promising young musicians whose career already impresses : Bram de Looze on piano, and Lennart Heyndels on double bass. On drums, we will meet Maestro Dre Pallemaerts, known for his collaborations with Joe Lovano, Mark Turner, Yusef Lateef, and Bill Carrothers.
The new repertoire, based on Ben Sluijs’ compositions, demonstrates tireless research while displaying clear melodic lines. The saxophonist exhibits harmonies sometimes rich, sometimes sober. He surprises us with various influences, and a lyrical sound of which he has the secret.
