Albert Vila Trio

The guitarist Albert Vila is from Barcelona. After studying in Amsterdam and New York, he gradually built a completely original repertoire.
He had already won the Dutch Jazz Competition in 2004 and the composition competition of Jazz Hoeilaart. Through his compositions, he does not choose the beaten track, but goes in search of subtle and stimulating textures that lead the listener. This excellent musician had the chance to collaborate with such great names as Aaron Parks, Jeff Ballard, Greg Hutchinson and Dave Douglas.
Albert Vila presents here his fourth album "The Unquiet Sky", recorded in New York. His pieces, intimately linked to jazz, regularly blend with blues, classical and groove influences.
