From Jimmy Smith and Kenny Burrell to Grant Green and Larry Young, the combination of guitar and Hammond B-3 organ sounds has had a rich tradition in jazz. Long drawn by the formula of the Organ Trio, the French guitarist Romain Pilon tries for the first time in tandem with the American organist Sam Yahel known for his collaborations with Joshua Redman (Elastic Band), Maceo Parker or the singer Madeleine Peyroux. His mastery of the sound palette of the organ combined with his melodic sense makes Sam Yahel one of the great masters of the instrument.
