Born in Jerusalem and raised in Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv, Or Bareket is currently one of the most sought-after and versatile New York bass players on the international stage. His approach to improvisation and composition is shot through by Mediterranean, South American and North African folklore, revisited through a deep knowledge of the American jazz tradition. His is a rich cultural heritage that is very much inscribed in his music, which he plays mainly on the New York stage, alongside players of the stature of Omer Klein, Jacques Schwartz-Bart, and others. The Jazz Station concert will be a Belgian premiere of his debut album, OB1!
