Julien Tassin Duets

Even without using words, Julien Tassin is an outstanding storyteller. He’s the kind of musician who has obviously spent time acquiring technique and skill on the guitar, but who values the expressive power and potential of music above all else. This is not only background music, but it transports the listener, interpreting compositions that shape their own little universes. It is obvious that Julien has immersed himself in a wide variety of influences - blues, soul, rock, roots music - but it all comes together to create a rich and very coherent identity at the same time. During this evening, the guitarist will offer us two very different duos and will resonate with Patrick Steenaerts (guitar) then with Nico Chkifi (drums) to explore new territories in the duo formula. Musical dialogues made of colors and chaotic sounds in the service of a music at the border of jazz, experimental, soundscape and noise.
