Drummer Teun Verbruggen is a very dedicated and active member of the Belgian jazz scene. His quest for special touches and fresh sounds, along with his desire to explore different styles of drumming, led him to work as a sideman with Jef Neve Trio, Flat Earth Society, Alexi Tuomarila 4tet, The Bureau Of Atomic Tourism, Arve Henriksen, Stian Wersterhus...

In his never-ending quest for new collaborations, Teun began working with Portuguese guitarist Andre Fernandes, a former member of Lee Konitz Nonet and singer Maria João’s band. The Verbruggen / Fernandes quintet can - together with saxophonist Steven Delannoye, pianist Bram De Looze and bassist Nathan Wouters - count on a solid and fascinating formation.
