4th edition of River Jazz Festival

12 > 27.01.2018

“Love is like jazz: any old way, but not any old how”. Grégoire Lacroix

The River Jazz Festival is located at the heart of three Brussels jazz scenes: the Marni, the Jazz Station and the Senghor. The path thus drawn from Ixelles to Saint-Josse through Etterbeek marries that of the old stream Maelbeek which inspired the name of this event which is the 4th edition. An association that gathers the talent of many Belgian jazzmen and several international guests for 15 days in the heart of winter.

River Jazz is once again ready to take to the winds, looking to stay the course. This year’s packed programme of concerts will see Belgian and international talents offering up a multiplicity of perspectives. In an amalgam of complementary strands, each venue will be showcasing its artists, its favourites, but this festival is above all about three institutions united in the certainty that audiences will be seduced by the programme on offer.

This fourth edition of the festival opens and closes with the accordion. First up, Richard Galliano playing solo; he is followed by Tuur Florizoone, who will be offering three projects at the three festival venues in one single evening: the Night. New albums, concerts for kids, exhibitions on comics and jazz, conferences, anniversaries: expect a lively tempo in 2018!
